“Having worked with natural lighting for years now I understand how challenging it can be for photography.  It is also the most beautiful light I have ever seen.”

I have had a camera in my hand as long as I can remember. My first camera was a Nikon. My first photo class was in high school. My first show was in college. I have been lucky enough to work with two Master photographers who have taught me more than I can believe. My first Wedding was shot at Lovers Point which is the beach I was raised on. This beach started my love affair with beaches and oceans. I first traveled to the Islands when I was still in school. And so began my Hawaiian love affair. That journey has led me into an in-depth study of the Hawaiian culture, including the beautiful language and songs (mele).  Within a traditional hulau I have worked to help recapture the magic of authentic  hula dancing. And I have spent significant time in the islands scouting locations and developing a network of resources that help make my photographs personal treasures for my clients.
